Cucumis melo. Cucurbitaceae family. Belonging to the same family as cucumber and squash, this is commonly eaten raw. Elongated or round shape depending on the variety. Sweet and refreshing flavour. The skin ranges from green to yellow with different tones, depending on the variety. The centre has a large number of orange seeds that are not edible.
